Zomato, a restaurant guide known around the world, says hackers have stolen data of 17 million users.
The Indian company, which provides information via its website has revealed that personal information from email addresses and passwords have been breached.
However they were quick to state that payment details were secure and unaffected by the security failure. They also insist that hashed passwords cannot be converted back to plain text, which protects customers passwords.
The firm have over 120 million users, who use the site and its mobile app to search for information regarding restaurants, menus, photos, addresses from around the globe.
