Fugitive former prime ministers pictured in China, police yet to act

Immigration police here in Thailand have stated that they are awaiting an order from the Royal Thai Police before they contact China regarding a recent photo that surfaced online which suggests fugitive former prime ministers Thaksin and Yingluck Shinawatra were in Beijing.

The statement made yesterday by Immigration Police Commissioner Pol Lt-General Suthipong Wongpin was in response to a viral photo that surfaced on Thai social media apparently showing the pair at a chestnut stall in a Beijing shopping mall ahead of Chinese New Year which takes place on Friday.
