Japan has blatantly told the world that it will not be accepting any Muslim refugees.
Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said his nation needs to deal with its own challenges, caused by falling birth rates and an ageing population and will not open its doors to refugees.
He offered over one billion dollars in aid to countries facing the upheaval of accepting the many migrants from African nations but stressed Japan would not welcome the migrants to its shores.
Tell us what you think. Are the Japanese right to say thanks but no thanks?
Should other nations be taking the same approach when you consider that Japan are putting its own people first?
