A camera trap in Myanmar has captured images of some of the most wonderful creatures on the planet.

Rare tigers, elephants, langurs, leopards and dholes are among those photographed.

The big surprise was images of the Indochinese leopard, which was spotted across a vast area. Experts believe Myanmar could be playing host to one of the most significant populations of the rare leopards remaining in south-east Asia.

Illegal poaching and loss of habitat has placed many of the creatures on the endangered species list but this recent survey, inspires hope that life in the jungles of Karen state in Myanmar is doing well.

Over thirty-one species of mammals have been recorded, many of which are endangered or at least vulnerable to extinction.

Governments around the world must act to save animals that are on the endangered species list, no matter what the costs is.
