Plot to Kill British Prime Minister stopped, two suspects arrested

The Metropolitan Police in the UK announced yesterday (December5) that two men were arrested last week and have been charged with terrorism offences.

And will appear at Westminster Magistrates Court today.

The statement released yesterday said that the two suspects identified as Naa’imur Zakariyah Rahman, 20, and Mohamed Aqib Imran, 21, were apprehended by the Metropolitan Police’s Counter Terrorism Command on November 28.

It was reported by Sky News that the pair apparently planned to detonate an improvised explosive devise at the Prime Minister’s residence at Downing Street and in the confusion and chaos kill the PM.

It was also announced yesterday by the Prime Minsiter’s spokesman that the UK had prevented nine other terrorist plots during 2017.
