A Scottish teacher is wanted by Interpol following the death of a colleague in Myanmar, formally known as Burma.
Harris Binotti, from Dumfries, left Myanmar in November, after the killing of Gary Ferguson, an English teacher in the country.
Interpol issued a “red notice” which they say is not an arrest warrant but is an international alert for a wanted man. The notice provides a description of Binotti saying he faces a charge of murder.
Both men are believed to have been drinking together two nights before the discovery of the body of Gary Ferguson. Neighbours claimed they heard what they thought could have been a fight.
Harris Binotti flew to Thailand the day before Mr. Ferguson’s body was discovered in his flat.
