A single organised by Simon Cowell featuring more than 50 stars has been released to raise money for the victims of the Grenfell tower tragedy.
The single hit the number one spot on iTunes after only two hours of being released.
The collaboration is a cover of the hit Simon and Garfunkel classic Bridge Over Troubled Water and not only includes stars such as Stormzy, Rita Ora and Liam Payne but also includes residents and Survivors of Grenfell Tower as part of the choir.
Artist on the single include James blunt, Craig David, Emeli Sande, Paloma Faith, Louis Tomlinson, Leona Lewis, Jessie J plus many more.
Emeli Sande who has recently been made a MBE, Said “I hope it shows the power of community and strength of people”.
The Song was released at 08:00 BST on Wednesday, 1 week after the fire and went straight into the number one spot.
Since the fire broke out the total of missing persons has risen to at least 79 who are being presumed dead. A fire investigation report is yet to be made public.
In light of all the tragic recent events across the country the strength and resilience of the people remains ever strong.
