Ten labourers working on the Chinese “belt and road” project have been killed in a shooting.
The Pakistani workers were gunned down at close range, 20 kilometres from the city of Gwadar in the Baluchistan province. The culprits drove passed on motorbikes killing innocent people as the fired openly at the work force.
Security at Baluchistan has been a problem for some time due to militants and the government being at loggerheads over the distribution of the regions gas resources and wealth.
Forty-four Pakistani’s have died at the hands of the militants since 2014 as they attempt to disrupt the construction of the economic corridor, which will run from Xinjiang in China through to the Arabian Sea.
