Thailand Have A Presence On The International Tribunal For The Law Of The Sea

Seven members were elected to the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea at the 27th Meeting of States Parties to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, in session at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

The judges have been elected for a nine-year period commencing on the 1st of October, 2017.

Of those elected, one was Thailand’s Ambassador to Russia, Mr. Kriangsak Kittichaisaree, who is the first Thai representative in the United Nations judicial system.
