An American citizen has been detained in North Korea according to media in South Korea.
The man known only by his surname “Kim”, who is believed to be around 50-years-old, is the third US citizen to be apprehended by the North.
One was detained on alleged spying charges, whilst the other is said to have been arrested for stealing a hotel sign.
Mr. Kim was arrested at Pyongyang International Airport.
US student Otto Warmbier, 21, was arrested for trying to steal a propaganda sign from a hotel while visiting North Korea back in January 2016. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Kim Dong-chul, 63, and a naturalised US citizen, born in South Korea, was sentenced to ten years hard labour for spying, also in 2016.
The US have accused North Korea of using American citizens as pawn.
