Two police officers suffered minor injuries after they were assaulted by a man wielding a large knife outside the Queens London residence on Friday night.
Both officers were taken to hospital to receive treatment following the arrest of the man who was said to be in his mid-twenties, no members of the royal family were at the palace at the time of the incident.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police Department said that they were unable to comment as to the man’s motivation for the attack but have arrested the man on suspicion of intent to cause grievous bodily harm and assault on police officers.
So far in 2017 Britain has been the victim of four militant attacks where a total of 36 innocent people have lost their lives and the countries threat level remains at severe which means an attack is highly probable.
Officers have said that the suspect will now be questioned but it’s too early to speculate further on the incident.
