Hundreds of east end revellers were evacuated from a London club when a man sprayed acid inside the venue, in Sidworth Street in the city’s Hackney area.
Twelve people were being treated for burns when an unknown substance was thrown in the early hours of Monday morning.
Reports suggest that a man threw an acid like substance over two men, following a dispute between two groups at the club, where 600 people were enjoying themselves.
Two men are in hospital where their condition is described as “serious” but stable. Ten others were treated from minor burns.
The London Fire Brigade said “An unknown corrosive substance was thrown within the nightclub.”
So far no arrests have been made but investigations are ongoing.
