Two Thai Families Survive London Fire As Death Toll Rises

Police in London have said they may never be able to identify all the victims who lost their lives in the in the Grenfell Tower blaze.

Seventeen people, so far, are known to have died but that figure is expected to rise, with dozens still unaccounted for.

When asked about the expected final death toll, Metropolitan Police Commander Stuart Cundy said he hoped that it would not reach triple figures.

There was good news for two Thai families living in the 24 storey block, when the Thai Foreign Ministry confirmed they had been reported as “safe”.

So far there has been no news of a Third Thai family who were living there.
