US Strike Force Move To Korea

The US Navy has been reported to be heading to the Korean peninsula following concerns regarding North Korea’s nuclear weapons development.

In what has been described as “a prudent measure to maintain readiness in the region” the USA appear to be willing to go it alone if they have to, in order to deal with the imposing threat of nuclear weapons being used by North Korea.

Dave Benham, US Pacific Command spokesman said “The number one threat in the region continues to be North Korea, due to its reckless, irresponsible and destabilising programme of missile tests and pursuit of a nuclear weapons capability.”

En-route to the region is the USS Carl Vinson along with a guided-missile cruiser and two destroyers.

North Korea has continued to carry out nuclear weapons tests despite warnings and concerns by various nations.

They also carried out a ballistic missile test in the Sea of Japan, which angered the Japanese.

North Korea is believed to be monitoring the situation in Syria following President Trump’s recent response to chemical weapons being used. The US launched air strikes against Syrian forces on Friday.

President Trump insists he would prefer Chinese cooperation in dealing the North Korean threat but insist, they will go it alone if they have to.

Could China intervene and take control by dealing with the North Korean threat, after all it is on their doorstep?

Either way, the giants of the globe, China, Russia and the USA could find themselves at loggerheads very soon.
