The Bangladesh Association of Pattaya has made a donation of dried food and drinking water to those affected by recent floods in the north of the country
The donation was presented to Pattaya’s Deputy Mayor Vichien Pongpanit by the group’s President Jahangir Pongpanit.
The donation which equated to 12,000 baht worth of goods will be passed to agencies dealing with distribution of aid to those in affected provinces.
Flooding has begun to subside in many provinces but has left large groups of people unable to run their businesses which is resulting in them being short on vital necessities.
Mr Hossain said he has been a resident in Thailand for many years and wanted to do something to help the people of the country he considers his home.
