Crews were seen sprucing up the zebra crossings on Pattaya’s Beach Road with a new coat of paint on September 25, ready for the start of high season.
The work to make the crossings more visible came after complaints were voiced by motorists about the crossings after heavy rains and countless vehicles had driven over them causing them to fade, making them hard to see, especially at night.
City officials said that crossing lights are next to receive some attention to make sure all are working to keep tourists safe.
The problem still remains with the crossings however that many motorists simply do not stop, even for those fitted with crossing lights.
