A Jordanian man has now been arrested at Suvarnabhumi Airport after he allegedly murdered his son and attempted to flee Thailand.
Earlier he tied the feet of his son to a pram and tipped him into the sea at Bali Hai port in the middle of the night.
When the boy discovered he was clothed and attached to the pram. The body was sent to Bang Lamung Hospital. The child was thought to have been dead three days.
Investigations soon led tourist police and immigration officials to Suvarnabhumi Airport where the Jordanian father was acting suspiciously. He was attempting to fly back to his home country.
Rak Siam reports that he admitted to officials about his crime. He said he tied both feet of his son to the pram and tipped him into the water at the pier in Pattaya.
He said that his wife had told him that if they had a child she would take responsibility for looking after the baby. He told police that they came to Thailand on holiday and all the wife wanted to do was go out on the town all night and leave him alone with their child. He said he became stressed and decided to kill the child and flee the country.
Rak Siam doesn’t disclose the nationality of the mother in their report.
