Steps continued in the Pattaya this month to curb corruption amongst city employees as the second of its anti-corruption seminars was held for 107 civil servants.
The seminar was presided over by Mayor Anan Charoenchasri on September 11 included guest speakers Chali Duangdaram the director of staffing and consultant Noparataopo Sriboonak.
This gathering of city employees comes one month after a warning was issued by the Anti-Money Laundering Office as to the consequences of corruption.
The Seminars main focus was on running a clean operation both in office and out in the field. They stressed that honesty and integrity were the ways for city employees to progress in their careers not by accepting bribes.
High level Pattaya officials have backed the anti-corruption message which they have tried to instil in ower paid municipal workers.
Speakers said there is a level of distrust from the public but by creating a track record of honesty the rust will be rebuilt.
