Drivers travelling between Bangkok and Pattaya are set to pay more for the privilege following a ministerial meeting. It was announced that increases would be applied on those using Route 7 from the 19th of January, 2018.
The price increase will mean that drivers of a 4×4 will pay anything between 10 to 105 baht for their journey, based on distance travelled along the motorway.
The first ten kilometres will be charged at ten baht and then 1 baht per kilometre thereafter.
For larger vehicles such as six wheeled trucks, the prices are again on the rise. They will fork out between 20 and 245 baht for their trip.
The announcement was made by Arkhom Termpitayaphaisit of the Communications Ministry.
