It seems these reports were false however after Pattaya News reporters visited the bar the driver, Akkradech Udomrat, 44, allegedly owned to be told that he was a DJ, not the owner.

The bar was not open when reporters arrived however staff at the bar next door were present who informed the reporters about Akkradech being a DJ.

So far officers have charged Akkradech with negligence causing death and injury then following a drugs test which revealed he had amphetamines in his system a further charge of driving under the influence of drugs was applied.

When officers arrived at the scene they had to rescue the driver from an angry mob which had begun to attack the man according to Pattaya News.

Yesterday it was reported that bail had been denied and that Akkradech was due to go before a judge however no further information has been released as yet.
