One the second of June, police raided the Nittiphat Garage, in the Banglamung District, seizing a number of motorbikes and components.
District Chief Naris Niramaiwong lead the raid, which resulted in them taking away 25 bikes and 20 exhaust systems, along with many spare components, used for modifying vehicles.
The owner, racing enthusiast “Chang Bird” was not present at the time of the raid, however the shop’s Manager Athit Janhom, was arrested and charged with working without a licence plus selling uncertified industrial products.
The chief alleged that the garage was responsible for modifications of bikes that are often spotted racing around the city in the evenings.
He also sent a warning to parents, insisting they should prevent their children from getting involved in the racing game, as more arrests will follow.
