International Fleet Review 2017 arriving in Pattaya Nov 13, what to expect

On November 13 the much publicised ASEAN International Fleet Review will be descending upon Pattaya.

In an event which is sure to have all naval enthusiasts incredibly excited the Royal Thai Navy will be hosting the event after being appointed the official representative body by a vote carried out by navies taking part.

The 10-day event will see over 40 modern war ships from 30 different nations coming to town bringing with them 10,000 crew members so the city might be a little busier than normal during the period.

The spectacle will include a number of naval activities, including naval and aerial shows on Pattaya Klang Beach, tourism attractions in Pattaya as well as both Naval and military parades including marching bands along Pattaya beach road.

In connection with the fleet review there are also a number of special events planned including the International Swan and Traditional Bat Race which will be held at Khlong Bang Phai Reservoir from November 10 to 13.

The Air Race 1 World Cup Thailand 2017 which will be held at Rayong-Pattaya International Airport from November 17 to 19.

Sailing completion held by the Yacht Racing association of Thailand on Nov 17 at Pattaya bay.

Bali Hai pier will be hosting concerts and fairs promoting Thai culture from Nov 16 and 17.

There will be a number of road closures throughout Pattaya during the 10 day event and once they have been officially confirmed we will keep you informed.
