The man now being called “the kindest German in Thailand” has taken up yet another good causing vowing to help a destitute granny from Pattaya find a better life.

Herr Reiner Abele accompanied by his wife Ankhana and two compatriots have vowed to help 69-year-old Bunreuan Phantaem.

The elderly woman had been living in a shack in the Bang Lamung area with her son but he died four months ago.

Since her son’s death she no longer felt safe in the area on her own, she had been scraping a living by selling nuts in the area.

Now living in a rundown makeshift shack with no electricity, water or other basic amenities she said she feels safer.

After hearing of her plight Herr Abele, Ankhana, Worchet Empia and Jaroonsak Roopkhamdee went to visit the elderly woman who greeted them with a smile and a wai at her makeshift house.

Worchet Empia gifted the elderly woman with some money and provisions to help her until a new place for her to live could be found.

Herr Reiner promised to relocate her near to where sue used to make a living and promised to assist her with paying the rent until she was back on her feet.

It was reported that Khun Yai had tears in her eyes as she thanked the group when they went to leave.

The story of the group’s actions has gained them widespread praise on social media.
