It was navy medics to the rescue on December 2 when a pregnant woman was unable to make it to the hospital after her water broke and was forced to deliver her baby in the front seat of a pick-up.

Medical personnel from the navy’s Apakorn Kittiwong Hospital and foundation medics from the Sawang Rojanathamsathan Foundation were called to a car park of an apartment building on Soi Lungpho where they discovered Natha Phosiri, 30, ready to give birth.

According to Natha’s husband Kraisorn, 26, they were on route to hospital but it seemed that the little tot had other ideas and was ready to meet the world before they could get there.

Medics helped deliver the child inside of the Toyota Vigo before both mother and child were taken to Sattahip Hospital.

Natha informed medics that she was from Udon Thani had had delivered three children at home before this one, however as they were not at home they attempted to make it to the hospital but realising they were not going to make it decided to call for help.
