A meeting was held between local officials and representatives from each of Pattaya’s 42 neighbourhoods to discuss development options in each of those areas across the city.
The meeting which was chaired by deputy mayor Vichien Pongpanit took place on January 29, where 210 residents from Pattaya came together to discuss development projects.
Each of the neighbourhoods will now submit proposals to the city for development goals that they would like to see achieved in each of their areas, including existing problems they would like fixed.
The meeting covered a vast array of issues including flooding, litter and drugs.
City officials have allocated an initial budget of 70,000 baht to begin the projects in the various neighbourhoods.
Each individual proposal from the 42 neighbourhoods will be submitted to city officials for consideration before any changes will be considered and implemented as part of Pattaya’s overall development plan.
