It was a busy day out on the waters off of Pattaya yesterday after authorities had to scramble to rescue over 100 Russian tourists from a stricken pleasure boat out in Pattaya bay after it developed engine troubles.
It was announced by Lieutenant Colonel Piyapong Ensarn of the Pattaya tourist police that a total of 114 Russian tourists were rescued from the bay after calls were made to the 1155 hotline requesting assistance.
It was reported by Sophon that the boat being used was a two-storey vessel run by Pattaya Bay Cruise Co Ltd.
There was no reports of any injuries and all of the tourist on board the please boat were brought back to shore using speedboats.
Mechanics are currently investigating the cause of the engine trouble.
