After suffering several setbacks the fully automated parking garage at Bali Hai Pier is open and fully operational.
The parking structure originally opened to the public nine months ago but had to close.
Pinit Maneerat a Pattaya spokesman said on the 29th of June the 738-million-baht automated parking structure had worked out the technical issues that have limited its capacity since October 2016 and is now fully functional.
Using a computer controlled elevator system from South Korean firm Simmatec Robotic, the garage provides 417 parking spots over seven floors, using three “transo devices” to move cars in and out of spaces.
Drivers can use any of the six entrances to pull into a check-in point where a robotic arm will then lift their car into a designated parking spot.
People wishing to park their cars in the futuristic car park will be charged 30 baht per hour or 300 baht per day.
The carpark was previously managed by MP Max Co before having their contract cancelled by Pattaya city hall and is now run by Pattaya Parking Co.
