Two large checkpoints are being positioned in and out of Pattaya by the Thai police for better security and inspiration to both the locals and the tourists.
As reported by Sanook, each of the checkpoints will comprise of 100 officers belonging from different arms of the police. Stationed at the checkpoints the security of the nation will largely depend on them, as they scrutinize for bombs, weapons, drugs, and equipment used to construct anything that poses threat to the nation.
All cars and motorbikes passing through these checkpoints will be carefully checked and a boon for the police, a new device application has been handed over to the police through which they can inform about a suspect.
The app will have access over a database with the help of which will inform the officers if any suspect is wanted. The officer has to only type the name and watch the screen for the result.
One checkpoint will be positioned in front of the Nam Si Pak market while the other in front of the temple of Wat Jitpawan.
Leuchai Nonpatimakun, the spokesman of the Region 3 police said that checkpoints will provide security to Thailand’s tourism and boost the confidence of the tourists as well as the locals of Pattaya.
