It was reported that the Ministry of Tourism and Sports has been requested that all hotel owners along the Eastern Seaboard including those in Pattaya.
Warn their guests about the possible dangers the seas pose over the coming week.
Asking for “cooperation” the request comes after a warning from Thailand’s MET office was issued forecasting for heavy rains and two-meter-high waves as a result of a storm about to hit the region.
Concerned by the forecast Ministry officials have advised hotels to warn guests to wear life jackets when on boats or when swimming in the sea.
They also stressed the importance of notifying tourists of the red flag system (no swimming warning.)
There was no mention in the report if the Ministry would be involved itself in issuing warnings to tourists.
