A ribbon cutting ceremony was held at the newly renovated Pattaya police station with the auspicious honour falling to Chonburi’s police commander to cut the ribbon.
Pol. Maj. Gen. Nantachart Supamongkol officially open the newly renovated facility at the ceremony which took place on January 4 where other top police officers along with government officials were also in attendance as well as nine monks who were there to bestow blessings on the building.
The station is one of three “New Era Police Stations” which have been developed during Thailand’s 4.0 infrastructure development scheme.
The remaining two new era stations are located in the capital.
Each of the three police stations was given a budget of 30 million baht to improve facilities which included crime suppression, general public inquiries, traffic and investigations departments.
Each station was given the choice to either spend the money on building new facilities or improve existing ones.
Have you been to the police station since its renovation let us know in the comments section what you think to the changes.
