After growing confusion from business owners as to what is acceptable behaviour during the Royal Funeral a letter to clarify things has been sent to bar owners in Pattaya from the Chief of Police.
While the letter is still a little vague it makes one thing very clear, if the police deems an establishment to be operating outside of their edict the consequences are severe.
The chief Apichai Krobpetch addressed the letter openly to all entertainment operators stating that government protocols must be observed meaning music or entertainment must stop out in the open.
Many are interpreting the letter to mean that if entertainment is happening behind closed doors nothing would be said.
But the end of the letter left things on a very serious note stating should a venue operate contrary to what they deemed acceptable then they would be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
