Pattaya tourist police inspector Pol Maj Piyapong Ensarn said that authorities are now attempting to track down two female foreigners who were filmed drowning a small dog on Jomtien beach on Sunday (July30)
He said if the dog was indeed drowned as the video footage suggests then the police would issue them with animal cruelty charges.
The video clip was originally posted on the Facebook page “Rak Mha” (Love Dogs) a page set up for dog enthusiasts, but later went viral attracting media attention.
The clip shows the two foreign women taking the small dog wrapped in a sheet into the sea at Jomtien beach and holding it under the water until it apparently drowned.
