Now to be fair it’s no secret that repair and construction works in Pattaya can be known to take a rather long time to complete but it now seems one of the city’s most infamous projects the refurbishment of Soi Siam Country Club Road might finally be complete after two long years of waiting.
Construction work on the road has been causing chaos for locals since it began way back in May of 2015, suffering from multiple setbacks during that time.
It was announced yesterday however that Bang Lamung district chief was pleased that the project is almost 100 percent complete.
The statement came during an inspection of the site by the district chief and his entourage yesterday.
District chief Naris Niramaiwong told reporters that workers now only have a little tidying up to finish and some minor works on the drains which should all be complete in the next 7 days just in time for the New Year.
It seems that more work is on the way for the controversial stretch of road however as the district chief is now in the process of requesting an additional 15 million baht in order to improve street lighting, leading to many to question online why the lights were not added during the course of the work over the last two years.
