Residents in a part of eastern Pattaya have had enough of ongoing roadworks and decided it was time to take action.
The reconstruction of the road at Soi Siam Country Club has been in progress for almost two years, yet there seems to be no sign of the process being completed any time soon.
Sick to the back teeth of airing their grievances verbally, the residents have erects a sign, which effectively says “Help! Construction has been going on for two years and there is no sign of it being completed.”
Residents say accidents, flooding and traffic jams are commonplace at the site.
The work, which was scheduled to end in April, has been delayed indefinitely, according to Nongprue Mayor Mai Chaiyanit , with the cause given as “heavy rain”.
Many businesses are losing money as shoppers cannot reach their stores it is claimed
A new deadline has been put in place for November, 2017.
