According to a report from Sophon Cable TV a South Korean tourist was full of praise for a team of Thai rescuers after he had what he described as a near death experience when out on a jet-ski off of Jomtien Beach in Pattaya at the weekend.

The South Korean man who was not named in the report was roughly 2 kilometres from shore when a big wave buffeted his jet-ski and resulted in the man tumbling into the sea.

Witnessing the incident three Thai rescue workers quickly leapt into action and found the man hanging onto the side of the jet-ski for dear life.

Workers quickly plucked the man from the sea and towed the jet-ski to shore.

It was reported that the grateful tourist said the he felt as if he had died and then come back to life.

He had nothing but good things to say about his rescuers and gave them a Wai once back on dry land.
