Police in Pattaya arrested a Thai man late on Sunday night accused of selling drugs to foreign tourists.
Sanya Sae-ui, 45, was arrested in a Pattaya hotel room after an operation was carried out led by Pol Lt-Colonel Daluiyaphat Techarayasit of the Central Investigation Bureau.
Sanye was taken into custody after allegedly supplying 5kg of marijuana to a foreign police informant.
Daluiyaphat said his team planned the sting operation after they were informed that the suspect had been seen selling narcotics on Walking Street.
The informant reportedly contacted Sanya using popular mobile phone app Line and arranged to buy 10kg of marijuana for 140,000 baht, however Sanya allegedly only delivered 5kg.
Daluiyaphat said that the suspect has previously been convicted of carrying a fire arm and selling pirate goods.
