A house was raided in Bang Lamung on Sunday, resulting in the arrests of four Indian nationals, who were detained on suspicion of being loan sharks.
Tourist police and the military jointly coordinated in the raid, following claims by neighbours that the rented accommodation was receiving an abnormal amount of visitors in the evenings.
Some of the Daraphan housing estate residents became suspicious that illegal activities were going on and informed the police.
The raid, which revealed three of those apprehended had overstayed their visas along with Toyota car and three motorcycles, which the accused had no papers for.
A substantial amount of cash was confiscated during the raid along with a number of bank books.
