Sex party goers have been released without charge following a raid in Pattaya. Almost all of the 28 Thai and foreign participants got off with a warning but one man, a Filipino, was arrested for drug offences, whilst another had no visa.
Videos had shown various police and immigration departments along with soldiers, taking part in the raid in the Phratamnak area of the city.
Those arrested were given towels to cover their identities as evidence shown included condoms and lubricants.
Men and woman from Cambodia, Canada, China, Ukraine, the Philippines, the USA, Pakistan, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand were involved in the swingers party as the authorities busted in.
The owner of the venue however, was not as fortunate as his guests at the erotic event. The Chinese man faces charges of operating a hotel without a licence and other illegal activities. Three of his staff have also been arrested as accessories.
If convicted, the owner could go to prison for one year and or be fined 20,000 baht. But his real nightmare is the possibility of an 18 million baht fine for operating without a hotel licence for the past five years. This equates to 10,000 baht per day.
A warning to all hotel owners who are operating illegally!
