Four Pattaya taxi drivers go overboard as they surround an Uber car, before the passenger out of the vehicle.

Police charged Chalor Phumphetch, 39, Supakit Thongploem, 42, Pramote Wattanasiri, 29, and Krit Saengsuwan, 42 but the four have denied any wrong doing.

However the Uber driver, Surasak Khukham, 29, who filed the complaint suggests otherwise. He gave police a video of the incident, which shows his car being surrounded by a number of taxis on Pattaya Second Road. He told them his passenger was terrified.

Mr. Khukham was fined 1,000 baht and had his licence confiscated because Uber is illegal in Thailand, however this does not give the taxi drivers the right to take the law into their own hands.

  1. LOS, MY ASS. Thais are the most self- entitled, least emphatic, most selfish people I’ve ever met. They absolutely deserve the authoritarian government they have now. They need about 10 years of misery to fully understand how they make the rest of us feel.
