Two men from Korean were apprehended in Pratumnak in Pattaya in a raid on Friday and were detained after evidence was found that they had been taking methamphetamine.
When they arrived at the Pattaya police station their backgrounds were checked and it was discovered that the two men were wanted on warrants from Korean and were hiding in Pattaya.
Following a tip off that drugs were being taken a tourist police raiding party commanded by Piyapong Ensarn hit the South Pattaya condo where the two men were staying.
Sang Tae Sor, 30, and Hun Sol Jeon, 34, were arrested after the raiding party found the equipment needed to take “ice” and following a urine test the men tested positive for drug use.
Mr Sor has a warrant for involvement in the illegal sex trade and Mr Jeon also had a warrant out for his arrest for fraud both are believed to have been hiding in Pattaya.
The two men will be deported back to Korea once the matter of their drug charges have been sorted out here in Thailand.
