Police and emergency services were called to Soi Thappraya 7 in the early hours of Tuesday morning after a motorcycle driven by a Russian tourist hit a South Korean man crossing the street resulting in three deaths.

The Russian tourist identified as Alexander Zakharov, 22, was riding a Kawasaki Z900 when he hit Korean tourist, Yongseok Choi, 20 who was part of a group of tourists crossing the road, Alexander’s pillion rider Netnapa Prawatdee aged 22 also died in the collision.

It was reported that witnesses told officers that the high-powered motorcycle was being driven at high speed when it collided with Yongseok opposite Thappraya Soi 7 at about 12:10am.

Medical personnel attempted to save the three involved in the incident but sadly all three died and their bodies were taken to Bang Lamung Hospital.
