Pattaya police and emergency services responded to the scene of a serious accident between a motorcycle and a pickup at 3.30pm on August 20

The accident happened on the Sukhumvit motorway heading into Pattaya.

Police and paramedics found two female victims both in serious conditions one was a 35-year-old woman with injuries to her face, arms and legs who received treatment at the scene before being rushed to hospital.

The other victim was a 30-year-old woman was in an even more serious condition, she suffered a puncture wound to the chest as well as deep lacerations to her legs, that were revealing bones.

She received large amounts of medical attention at the scene before rescue personnel decided she was stable enough to be transferred to hospital.

A witness of the accident told officers that he was following the pickup involved in the accident when the motorbike suddenly pulled out from the left lane into the central lane into the path of the pickup leaving the driver no time to react who subsequently crashed into the motorcycle, sending the two passengers and the bike crashing into the roadside ditch.

The driver of the pickup stopped and attempted to aid the two women but immediately called emergency services once he realised the extent of the women’s injuries.

Officers took several statements and photos of the accident but are waiting till they are able to interview the two female victims before continuing their investigation.
