A video uploaded to Facebook has been viewed nearly one million times and starts of quite ordinarily showing a family out for a drive through a scenic part of Chonburi.

During the clip the woman filming can be heard commenting that they had just spent 50,000 baht on repairs to their BMW when a large monkey leaps onto the car.

It seems that the family were out feeding the monkeys on the road to Khao Sam Muk.

The monkey proceeds to sit on the driver’s wing mirror and happily eat the food it was handed until the driver decides that he no longer want the monkey sitting there and attempts to make it move on by turning on his windscreen wipers.

This as the footage shows was a mistake after the monkey leaps in fright and rips the cars expensive wing mirror clean off leading the woman filming to say “that will cost another 50,000.”

Many people commented online saying that it was probably best to throw food on the ground if feeding the monkey in the future.

So if you’re planning on going to feed the monkeys remember to throw the food on the ground or at least not touch the windscreen wipers if you want to avoid potentially damaging your vehicle.
