If you have been travelling around Pattaya over the last couple of months you will no doubt have noticed that Central Road
has been the site of some major works to bury utility cables underground and smarten up the look of the city.
Officials have announced this week that the project is on schedule and will be complete by the end of the month, much to the delight of many motorists.
The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) who are overseeing the project announced on October 11 that recent rains had not affected works to bury both power and utility lines and that the project has now entered its final stages.
Officials said that the works had not been without complications as Central Road is one of the city’s busiest roads and detours were problematic at times but they credit traffic officers for their hard work at minimising disruptions to the public.
A spokesman for the PEA said that works are scheduled to be complete by October 31.
