It was announced earlier today that the Thai Cabinet is expected to approve all 10 proposed electrical train projects for the nation’s capital set to begin this year in an effort to improve traffic flow in and around of Bangkok.
Akhom Termpittayapaisit the Minister of Transport stated that a 16.4-kilometer line to link the Thailand Cultural Center with Talingchan which will become part of the Orange line will go before the cabinet for a second time in May accompanied by construction plans and operational plans, currently studies are being carried out to find ways of incorporating private investment into the project.
Akhom said confidently that he expects all 10 electrical train projects to be given the approval of the cabinet this year.
The Ministry has reportedly already begun drafting their so-called master plan for the third phase of all of the electrical train projects which will see all current and planned rail networks in the capital incorporated into one network.
