Despite the horrendous weather, thousands of people turned out to pay homage to the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej on Friday.
Even the torrential rain did not dissuade the hordes making their way to the Grand Palace in Bangkok.
Over 17,000 made the journey to pay their respects to the late royal, whose body is lying in state.
Officials working at the palace were kept busy throughout the day as they worked hard to keep the flow of people moving.
Officials have asked visiting mourners to wear polite clothes and follow instructions at all times when inside the Grand Palace.
Donations totalling over one million baht were made during Friday alone.
