Following an outage on 3BB on Saturday, resulting in subscribers being denied services such as Google owned YouTube, Drive and Google Plus, the internet provider has been granted approval to make amends by offering its customers a one month free subscription to its media streaming service.
The NBTC approved its proposal so the company could proceed with the offer immediately.
What is still unclear is what caused the outage. Other internet providers appeared to have similar problems on Saturday morning but they were resolved within an hour but 3BB issues ran on for around 14 hours.
Firstly the government were accused of trialling new blocking software but they firmly denied the allegations.
Others asked if it was a Google issue.
No matter who was at fault, if you are a 3BB customer, you can save 129 baht this month on media streaming.
