The Hospital treating former Eastenders star Paul Nicholls who fell from a waterfall has called out the UK media that speculated his treatment would be 4 million baht.
The claim made by “The Sun” came after the star was rescued by officers and medical personnel having fallen from a waterfall and breaking his leg, spending three days in the jungle before being rescued and taken to the hospital.
Dr Dunyakit Withayajanyaphong said that Mr Nicholls treatment would cost 500,000 baht.
Mr Nicholls had told doctors that he would not be able to afford the treatment and is sent to be transferred to Koh Samui Hopspital.
So far his hospital bill has amounted to 46,000 baht of which he has not paid any of as he claims he has no money.
Dr Withayajanyaphong claimed his hospital is the latest victim of incorrect reporting by the foreign media.
He said he has no idea how they could of come up with such a large sum stating that there was no way it could be that much.
The patient will be transferred to the UK for an operation on his knee which is said to be badly damaged.
