For many the famous “Bing Bong” of 7-Eleven is a welcome sound, well if the CP All Public Co has anything to say you might be hearing it a lot more as the company plans to increase the number of shops in Thailand to 13,000 over the next four years
As of the end of June the number of 7-Elevens in Thailand had soared to a whopping 10,007 since opening their first store in Thailand back in 1989.
Plans are currently under way to add another 700 stores to the nation before the end of the year.
The well know franchise is far ahead of the pack when it comes to Japanese convenience stores in Thailand as its closest competitor family mart only has a total of 1,136 stores and lawson’s stores only number 85.
The Japanese based firm is rapidly catching up with its own nation which has a total of 19,588 stores.
