Activities To Mark HM The King's Birthday Take Place Nationwide

PATHUMTHANI, 20th July 2018 (NNT) – Activities to mark the upcoming birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn have continued to take place nationwide. 

As part of the lead up to his birthday anniversary this July 28, 2018, His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn graciously allowed Deputy Palace Secretary Air Vice Marshal Theera Chiangthong to provide royally bestowed food and goods to children in the care of the Youth Aid Center Maharat Foundation in Pathumthani province.

A leisure activity was organized for the children before officials representing His Majesty the King and volunteers joined in releasing various fish and undertaking social work around the youth center.

In Chiang Rai province, Governor Prajon Prachsakul chaired the opening of a mobile farming clinic honoring His Majesty the King and his royal birthday anniversary. The clinic is to provide access to assistance for farmers while selling goods made by community enterprises. The Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives’ Chiang Rai office, also used the launch ceremony to donate monetary assistance to 148 farmers who allowed their fields to be flooded during the Tham Luang Cave rescue operation.

In Satun, Governor Pattaraphon Rattanapichetachai chaired the start of a reforestation project devoted to HM the King. The project is taking place in a forest reserve in Jehbilang sub-district of the province. The ceremony saw 500 civil servants, students and members of the public coming together to plant 2,900 plants on an 8 rai plot of land. It is expected that once the forest grows, it will contribute to the fight against climate change.

Similarly in Kabinburi district of Prachinburi province, Governor Pibul Hattakijkosol led the opening of a “We Love Doing Good with Our Hearts” volunteer program in which 1,000 volunteers planted trees and beautified a 2 kilometer stretch of road.
